The City of Virginia Beach is seeking a Facilities Custodian/Housekeeper for the Convention Center to support events with cleaning, setup, and maintenance duties. The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift over 50 pounds, and experience with crowd management or housekeeping tasks.

Typical duties include moving tables and equipment, cleaning floors and restrooms, following event work orders, and operating basic equipment.

Competenze

• Requires completion of a standard grade school course and at least 1 year of related work experience.
• Ability to move and arrange equipment weighing up to 50+ pounds and work in varying weather conditions.

Mansioni

• Move and place large quantities of facility equipment for events.
• Tear down equipment and return items; perform janitorial tasks (vacuuming, cleaning surfaces, restrooms).
• Operate and maintain facility equipment related to events and cleaning operations.
• Read and understand event work orders and facility floor plans for space setup.
