Responsibilities

  • Review, explain and redeem vouchers and coupons; explain restrictions to guests when necessary.
  • Assist guests experiencing pass issues according to resort policies.
  • Complete cashier reports summarizing daily revenues vs. sales.
  • Communicate in a cheerful, knowledgeable, professional manner with staff and guests.
  • Maintain a clean and neat work area.
  • Maintain a professional appearance per dress code.

Welcome to Windham Mountain Club!
Work Location

In-person role based in Windham, NY.

Seasonal Position

This part time role is available for the winter season.

Pay

$18-$20 per hour based on experience

Anticipated Start Dates

Around Thanksgiving week or the Beginning of December

Schedule

Will require working early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Conditions

Must be able to get to a from work in all weather conditions. This is an indoor position.

Overview of Position

Ticket Cashiers are responsible for completing the sales of lift tickets and redemption of lift vouchers. Ticket Cashiers interact with guests to determine their needs and efficiently and accurately complete the sale or redemption of those products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet guests and answer questions.
  • Work efficiently with the ticketing system to sell products.
  • Accurately operate assigned registers.
  • Review, explain and redeem vouchers and coupons. Explain restrictions to guests when necessary.
  • Assist guests experiencing pass issues according to resort policies.
  • Accurately, neatly, and expediently complete cashier reports summarizing and accounting for daily revenues versus reported sales.
  • Effectively communicate in a cheerful, knowledgeable, and professional manner with staff and guests.
  • Maintain a clean and neat work area.
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance, adhering to dress code at all times.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a cashier role.
  • Basic algebra skills required.
  • Proficiency with POS systems, RTP experience preferred.
  • Ability to interact with both guests and staff in a friendly and helpful manner.
  • Ability to effectively work in a stressful, noisy and crowded situations.
  • Adaptable to rapidly changing environments.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and maneuver up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to sit, stand and walk for up to 8 hours.
  • Ability to stand and walk on uneven terrain, including snow and ice covered surfaces.
  • Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach regularly.
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
  • Ability to perform fine motor skills congruent with operating computers and smart phones.
