Windham Mountain Club in Windham, NY is seeking a part-time Retail Sales Associate for the winter season. You will work at The Shop, providing a premier shopping experience for guests and supporting soft goods, hard goods, and accessories.

Responsibilities include learning merchandise, operating POS, handling inventory, assisting guests, and keeping the shop tidy. Candidates should enjoy interacting with people and stay flexible for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Welcome to Windham Mountain Club!

Work Location:

In-person role based in Windham, NY.

Seasonal Position:

This part time role is available for the winter season.

Pay:

$20-$22 per hour based on experience

Anticipated Start Dates:

The Beginning of December

Schedule:

Will require working early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Conditions:

Must be able to get to a from work in all weather conditions. This is an indoor position.

Overview of Position:

The Shop at Windham Mountain Club is a multi-seasonal specialty retailer that carries a vast selection of equipment, clothing, and accessories for a variety of outdoor activities. The Retail Sales Associate is involved in all areas of The Shop's soft goods, hard goods, and accessories. They are responsible for providing a premier shopping experience for guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop a knowledge of all shop merchandise to better identify and serve guests needs.
• Accurately operate POS systems for retail transactions.
• Assist in the monitoring and control of all inventory of merchandise.
• Proactively address all customer needs and questions.
• Perform various shop maintenance and housekeeping duties.
• Maintain knowledge of the ski area, programs, events, daily snow conditions and any other information that aids in your communication with our guests.

• Must be able to handle a stressful, noisy and crowded work environment.
• Must maintain a clean and professional appearance.
• Have knowledge of retail sales.
• Have sufficient math skills.
• Must be able to use basic computer systems and POS software.
• Must be able to stand for the entire work shift.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 10 hours.
• Ability to stand and walk on uneven terrain, including snow and ice covered surfaces.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
• Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach regularly.
