Job summary

The Salvation Army - Chula Vista Outlet Store is seeking a Store Assistant Manager to support daily operations, supervise staff, and ensure accurate POS and inventory control. You will help create a friendly shopping and donation experience while meeting sales targets and program budgets.

Work with the Store Manager to train Beneficiaries and volunteers, enforce safety standards, and maintain high customer and donor satisfaction in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in retail management/supervisory roles (thrift experience preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to lead staff and serve donors.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with day-to-day operations, opening/closing, POS and inventory.
• Supervise staff and provide regular performance feedback and coaching.
• Ensure excellent customer and donor service and maintain store standards.
• Meet sales and budget expectations while controlling expenses.
