Job summary

The Salvation Army in San Diego is seeking a part-time Sales Lead to support daily store operations, drive sales, and manage a positive customer experience. You will work closely with the Store Manager and ARC beneficiaries to maintain merchandising standards and compliance.

The role requires retail experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead a small team while handling responsibilities such as POS, inventory, and donations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one-year previous retail experience and supervisory experience preferred.
• Must pass background check including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, store employees, customers and donors.

Responsibilities

• Takes an active role and partners with the Store Manager in daily store operations including opening/closing procedures, POS operations, inventory management, and donations.
• Assumes responsibility for day-to-day store operations in the absence of Store/Assistant Manager.
• Monitor and analyze KPIs to drive store sales and profitability as per budgets and goals.
• Schedule store employees to ensure proper coverage and lead team meetings; coach and develop staff.
