Job summary

Auria Space is seeking a Modeling & Simulation Systems Engineer 1 to support the MSV-TASD program on-site at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO. The role involves data engineering, large-scale data handling, and rigorous validation of simulation outputs for national security missions.

The candidate will collaborate across teams, debug legacy scripts, and ensure data integrity while traveling up to 10% and maintaining a Secret security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a STEM field preferred with 2 years of technical experience, or 0–2 years with a Masters.
• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB or other scripting languages.
• Foundational understanding of aerothermodynamics, radiative transfer and fluid dynamics.
• Experience with atmospheric modeling codes and Linux-based distributed environments.

Responsibilities

• Data Engineering and Validation.
• Handling large-scale, multi-dimensional array datasets.
• Validating simulated data against test or flight data.
• Troubleshooting and Diagnostics; root-cause analysis.
• Debugging legacy code and in-house tools (Python, MATLAB, C++).
• Log parsing and error identification; enforce data integrity.
