Job summary

Auria is seeking a Modeling & Simulation Systems Engineer 1 or 2 to support the MSV-TASD program, on-site at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs. You will develop ballistic and advanced/hypersonic kinematic threat models and document V&V activities.

The role requires a BS in STEM, DoD Secret clearance, and programming in MATLAB, Python, and LaTeX. You will work with a cross-disciplinary team to meet time-critical delivery schedules and support flight dynamics analyses.

Qualifications

• BS in STEM field with 2 years of technical experience for level 1, or 5 years with level 2; Masters or PhD may substitute.
• Active in-scope DoD Secret clearance required to start.
• Programming in MATLAB, Python, LaTeX or equivalent is expected.
• Experience with ballistic missile flight characteristics and trajectory modeling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop ballistic and hypersonic kinematic threat models for various modeling and simulation tools/frameworks.
• Apply engineering and mathematical algorithms to accurately portray missile/space launch vehicle dynamics.
• Author Verification & Validation (V&V) documents for weapons systems.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, software engineers, and stakeholders to meet requirements.
