Confidential in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to support thoracic surgery. The role combines surgical first assisting, perioperative care, and outpatient management to optimize patient outcomes.

Minimum qualifications include a Master’s in Nursing or PA Studies, NASC certification with Prescriptive Authority, and at least 2 years of surgical experience. ACLS/ATLS are preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies required.
• Licensed APRN with NASC certification and Prescriptive Authority, or PA with Prescriptive Authority.
• Minimum 2 years of surgical clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced surgical first assisting support across procedures.
• Perform perioperative and postoperative care and assessments.
• Coordinate discharge planning and follow-up care; document in EHR.
• Perform bedside procedures (thoracentesis, chest tube management) as needed.
• Support outpatient management in clinic and virtual visit settings.
• Participate in quality improvement and clinical protocols development.
