Job Description: Cook 3

We’re looking for an individual who embodies the luxury lifestyle experience. This candidate will have a passion for exceptional hotel service and can express that belief in an atmosphere of spontaneity and authenticity.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Setting up your station as specified in a timely manner, tasting to ensure quality of all mise en place. Taking ownership of your station and actively fixing problems.
  2. Maintaining personal prep lists and managing daily activities with minimal oversight.
  3. Having thorough knowledge of all menu items.
  4. Ensuring all prep is completed before service and communicating any delays to a manager.
  5. Keeping the kitchen clean and organized, including cleaning your station thoroughly at the end of each shift.
  6. Assisting colleagues in dishwashing when needed.
  7. Working with attention to detail, cleanliness, and promptness during service.
  8. Filling out accurate prep lists and communicating needs to management.
  9. Performing cross-training and training new colleagues on station and menu items.
  10. Assisting management with orders and closing checklists.
  11. Providing input on menu changes and feedback on execution.
  12. Participating in weekly deep cleaning projects and scheduled maintenance.
  13. Performing other duties as assigned by leadership.

Minimum requirements:

  • Good communication skills.
  • 3+ years of professional cooking experience preferred.
  • Culinary degree or related hotel experience preferred.
  • Ability to perform all basic and intermediate cooking skills.
  • Ability to work multiple stations in the kitchen.
  • Requires moderate supervision and training.
