Responsibilities include:
- Setting up your station as specified in a timely manner, tasting to ensure quality of all mise en place. Taking ownership of your station and actively fixing problems.
- Maintaining personal prep lists and managing daily activities with minimal oversight.
- Having thorough knowledge of all menu items.
- Ensuring all prep is completed before service and communicating any delays to a manager.
- Keeping the kitchen clean and organized, including cleaning your station thoroughly at the end of each shift.
- Assisting colleagues in dishwashing when needed.
- Working with attention to detail, cleanliness, and promptness during service.
- Filling out accurate prep lists and communicating needs to management.
- Performing cross-training and training new colleagues on station and menu items.
- Assisting management with orders and closing checklists.
- Providing input on menu changes and feedback on execution.
- Participating in weekly deep cleaning projects and scheduled maintenance.
- Performing other duties as assigned by leadership.
Minimum requirements:
- Good communication skills.
- 3+ years of professional cooking experience preferred.
- Culinary degree or related hotel experience preferred.
- Ability to perform all basic and intermediate cooking skills.
- Ability to work multiple stations in the kitchen.
- Requires moderate supervision and training.
