Upper Valley Haven seeks Leahy Shelter Staff for the White River Junction shelter, covering the third shift from 12:00 am to 8:30 am, seven days a week. Responsibilities include guest intake, meals, safety, and maintaining a welcoming environment.

Candidates should be reliable, with strong communication and de-escalation skills, and a background in human services preferred. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, paid holidays, generous PTO, life insurance, and a 403(b).

Qualificações

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in human services or related field.
• Previous shelter or social services experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification (will train if needed).

Responsabilidades

• Shelter staff on each shift with fixed schedules, including weekends and holidays.
• Assist guests with a variety of needs and facilitate operations.
• Conduct intake paperwork and help serve meals.
• Ensure the environment is safe, clean, and welcoming.
• Build positive relationships and be respectful and accepting of people facing challenges.
• Create a safe, respectful, supportive environment for community members experiencing homelessness.
