Foley Equipment invites aspiring diesel technicians to join the Caterpillar ThinkBIG internship starting June 2027. The program blends hands-on work with academic study, awarding an Associate of Applied Science degree and logging over 2,000 hours of paid experience at Foley locations.

Participants rotate between ThinkBIG school sessions and local Foley sites, typically 7–8 weeks per rotation, over two years, with housing arranged near campuses and Foley locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Dependability with strong attendance.
• Willingness to learn Caterpillar equipment curriculum.
• Desire for long-term career in field service.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Foley's culture - prioritizing safety above all else.
• Work closely with experienced mentors who will guide you through the shop environment, helping you develop a solid understanding of system workings, procedures, processes, and safety requirements.
• Attend, participate, and learn in school, maintaining minimum program grade requirements and remaining in good standing with the school and ThinkBIG program.
• Complete and submit all required assignments, including assignments involving the internship.
• Occasionally, travel for training purposes and/or to assist at other Foley locations.
