Job summary

Foley Equipment offers an exciting ThinkBIG Electric Power Generation (EPG) internship beginning June 2027. You will split time between ThinkBIG school and Foley locations, gaining hands-on experience with Caterpillar equipment while earning an Associate of Applied Science degree and more than 2,000 hours of work experience.

Rotations are typically 7–8 weeks each and the program spans two years, with housing arrangements required for both school and internship rotations.

Qualifications

• Dependability: excellent attendance and punctuality for school and internship.
• Mechanical aptitude and interest in Caterpillar equipment.
• Curiosity and readiness to learn through the Caterpillar curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Foley's safety culture and procedures.
• Work with mentors to understand shop operations and safety requirements.
• Learn disassembly, assembly, and testing of generator components.
• Operate resistive load bank equipment for testing and repairs.
• Perform maintenance and preventive care on power generation assemblies.
• Diagnose issues and perform minor repairs on gensets.
• Manage school assignments and internship tasks; travel may be required for training.
