Job summary

Foley Equipment is offering a ThinkBIG Electric Power Generation internship in Kansas starting June 2027 for aspiring diesel technicians. You’ll train, earn an Associate degree, and gain over 2,000 hours of hands-on experience through a two-year, paid program with rotations between ThinkBIG school and Foley locations.

Participants receive mentoring, equipment, housing considerations, and potential full-time opportunities after completion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and curiosity.
• Dependable with excellent attendance.
• Willingness to participate in a structured two-year program.
• Ability to travel for training as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in disassembly, assembly, and testing of generator components.
• Learn to operate resistive load bank equipment.
• Support preventive maintenance and troubleshooting under supervision.
• Rotate between ThinkBIG school and Foley locations with rotations of 7–8 weeks.
• Maintain academic progress and submit assignments.
