Job summary

Vertiv in Westerville, Ohio, seeks a Services Technical Learning & Development Specialist to deliver technical training on thermal management (HVAC/R) for field service technicians, partners and customers. You will design and conduct interactive sessions, update content, and ensure safety and compliance.

The role requires collaboration with product managers and engineers across regions, travel 10–25%, and the ability to tailor programs for diverse audiences while maintaining rigorous safety

Qualifications

• Two years of technical training or related experience (HVAC preferred).
• Strong knowledge of thermal management principles for data centers.
• Knowledge of electrical and electronic controls.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication with presentation emphasis.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Positive attitude and adaptability in a fast-changing environment.
• Self-motivated with ability to work without supervision.
• Proficient with PC skills and Microsoft Office.
• Preferred 5+ years as a technical training instructor.
• Preferred trainer/facilitator certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement training programs: Design and conduct interactive training sessions on thermal management (HVAC/R) systems.
• Technical expertise: Serve as SME on Vertiv’s thermal management portfolio and update content with advancements.
• Training materials: Create training documentation, guides, presentations, and hands-on exercises for different learners.
• Evaluation and feedback: Assess training effectiveness and improve based on feedback and outcomes.
• Stakeholder collaboration: Align training with product specs, updates, and customer needs.
• Safety and compliance: Emphasize safety, PPE use, and Vertiv safety protocols in all sessions.
• Global team collaboration: Coordinate with regional teams to tailor programs for diverse international audiences.
