Job summary

SANY Group in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Thermal Management Engineer to develop thermal management systems for large hybrid loaders and to oversee cooling schemes for engine, generator, electric motor, ECU and hydraulics. You will ensure performance under demanding mine conditions through simulations and design optimization.

Responsibilities include heat-flow analysis, duct and pipeline optimization, and defining control strategies for various loading scenarios.

Job description

• Responsible for the development of thermal management systems for large hybrid loaders. Oversee the cooling scheme design for engine, generator, electric motor, electronic control and hydraulic systems.
• Define the complete-machine thermal management architecture. Carry out matching calculation and selection verification for the full set of radiators, cooling fans, pipelines and other components to meet thermal balance requirements for continuous heavy-duty operation under high-temperature mine conditions.
• Conduct heat flow field and temperature field simulation, optimize air ducts, cooling layout and pipeline routing, and resolve issues such as high overall temperature, local overheating and heat accumulation.
• Responsible for temperature control logic matching of multi-component systems under various working conditions, and formulate cooling control strategies for high/low temperature, heavy load, idle and continuous loading & digging conditions.
• Compile thermal management system technical specifications, calculation reports, simulation reports and test plans; lead bench thermal balance tests and high-temperature durability tests.
• Coordinate technical communication with thermal management component suppliers, including parameter confirmation, sample verification and PPAP follow-up, to guarantee system reliability and consistency.
