Job summary

NuScale Power, LLC is seeking a thermal-hydraulic engineer to analyze NSSS systems and support design advancement. You will use thermal-hydraulic tools and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to resolve technical challenges.

Requirements include a BS in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) and at least 2 years of relevant experience, with optional EIT. Strong communication skills and knowledge of flow-induced vibration are a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years of full-time thermal-hydraulic engineering experience.

Responsibilities

  • Use thermal-hydraulic software to analyze NSSS design and performance.
  • Perform and check engineering evaluations per NuScale procedures; apply fundamentals of thermal hydraulics and structural mechanics.
  • Prepare, check, and review calculations and reports on flow-induced vibration.
  • Collaborate with teammates and other disciplines for design coordination and problem resolution.
  • Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
