Job summary

NuScale Power, LLC is seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to work on NSSS System Design, inspection and testing in accordance with nuclear codes and regulatory requirements. You will review plant systems, develop and QA design documents, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to propose innovative solutions requiring independent judgment.

The role requires familiarity with 10 CFR 50.55a, 10 CFR Part 810 eligibility, and strong technical writing, with travel as needed for business

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering, preferably Nuclear or Mechanical, from ABET-accredited school.
• PE license in Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering is desirable but not required.
• Minimum 5 years of full-time, relevant professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate plant systems to define design, performance, inspection and testing needs.
• Prepare, check, and review engineering reports, specs, drawings and calculations.
• Collaborate with a multi-discipline team on complex tasks and propose design solutions.
• Interpret scope and project requirements and plan complex assignments.
• Maintain training qualifications and strong written and oral communication.
