Job summary

Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance (TOA) is seeking a Therapy Patient Services Specialist to be the friendly face for patients arriving to therapy appointments. You will verify demographics, update insurance details, and prep daily clinics while coordinating with clinical and administrative teams.

TOA emphasizes a positive work environment, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities at 20+ locations across Tennessee. Prior medical office experience and familiarity with EHRs are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year medical office administration experience preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare insurance.
• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures; computer systems.
• Experience with an EHR or NextGen is a plus.
• Ability to multi-task and flexible schedules.
• Energetic pace with focus on patient care.
• Dependability and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate exceptional customer service and patient focus.
• Work closely with clinical and administrative teams.
• Verify patient demographic information upon arrival.
• Update and change insurance information as appropriate.
• Scan insurance cards and drivers licenses.
• Enter referrals into the computer and link to the correct case.
• Collect co-pays, coinsurance, deductibles, and balances.
• Prep daily clinics for upcoming appointments.
• Create a record of the appointment and print.
• Ensure all documentation is entered accurately and swiftly.
• Schedule follow-up appointments as necessary.
