Job summary

Stevenson Oaks Retirement Community, affiliated with Methodist Retirement Communities, seeks a Rehabilitation Coordinator to support our therapy department in Fort Worth, TX. You will coordinate schedules, manage records, and serve as a main contact for residents, families, therapists, and staff.

You’ll help with referrals, admissions, discharges, insurance verifications, and communications across the rehabilitation team, ensuring timely, patient-centered care and privacy compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in healthcare, rehabilitation, medical scheduling, insurance authorization, or a related administrative role preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA requirements.
• Proficient with computers and scheduling systems, including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate therapy schedules to support resident needs and efficient department operations.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for residents, families, therapists, and community team members.
• Assist with therapy referrals, admissions, discharges, and communication throughout the resident’s course of care.
• Maintain accurate and organized records, reports, and supporting documentation.
• Monitor required paperwork and follow up with team members to ensure documentation is completed accurately and on time.
• Assist with insurance verification, authorizations, and other administrative requirements as needed.
• Track departmental information and prepare reports for the Director of Rehabilitation.
• Help coordinate meetings, care conferences, and communication with the interdisciplinary team.
• Support therapists with administrative needs so they can remain focused on resident care.
• Protect resident privacy and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and company policies.
• Provide exceptional customer service while helping residents and families navigate the therapy process.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the rehabilitation department.
