Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioural health field.
  • Current Ohio licensure in LSW/LISW, LPC/LPCC, or MFT/IMFT.
  • Knowledge of behavioural health diagnoses, crisis intervention, and evidence-based modalities.
  • Strong clinical assessment, documentation, communication, and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychosocial assessments and complete clinical documentation within specified timeframes.
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans with the treatment team.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based interventions.
  • Coordinate discharge planning and aftercare referrals to support transitions of care.
  • Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation and collaborate with multidisciplinary staff.

About Solero Columbus Behavioral Transitions

Solero Behavioral Transitions in Columbus offers a safe, structured environment for adults managing substance use and mental health challenges. As a dual diagnosis outpatient program , we provide integrated treatment for individuals with primary substance use or mental health disorders.

Position Summary

The Therapist provides comprehensive clinical services to adult patients receiving behavioral health treatment. Working as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team, the Therapist conducts psychosocial assessments, develops individualized treatment plans, provides individual and group therapy, and coordinates discharge planning to support patient recovery and successful transitions of care. The therapist promotes a safe, therapeutic environment while delivering evidence-based, patient-centered behavioral health services.

  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and complete required clinical documentation within established timeframes.
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and the interdisciplinary treatment team.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
  • Facilitate psychoeducational and process groups that support patient recovery, coping skills, and symptom management.
  • Assess patients for suicide risk, homicidal risk, self-harm, substance use, and other behavioural health concerns, implementing appropriate interventions as indicated.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings, case consultations, and patient care planning.
  • Coordinate discharge planning, including aftercare referrals, community resource linkage, and continuity of care arrangements.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, nursing staff, case managers, recreational therapists, and other health‑care professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and thorough documentation in the electronic medical record in accordance with organisational, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment recommendations, medications (as appropriate), coping strategies, and available community resources.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, Joint Commission standards, and all applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, department meetings, and mandatory education programmes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioural health field from an accredited institution.
  • Current Ohio licensure in one of the following:
    • Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW)
    • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
    • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) or Independent Marriage and Family Therapist (IMFT)
  • Knowledge of behavioural health diagnoses, crisis intervention, and evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
  • Strong clinical assessment, documentation, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary treatment team.
