Job summary

Solero Behavioral Transitions in Youngstown, OH seeks a compassionate LSW or LPC Therapist to join our behavioral health team. You will provide person-centered services to individuals facing mental health, substance use, and life transitions, collaborating with clients, families, and a multidisciplinary team.

The role offers full-time hours, ongoing supervision, and access to medical, PTO, 401(k), and tuition reimbursement; you will deliver assessments, individualized plans, and crisis support

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related behavioral health field.
  • Current Ohio LSW or LPC license in good standing.
  • Must be 21 or older.
  • Experience in behavioral health or substance use preferred.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based counseling practices and treatment planning.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and identify client strengths, needs, and treatment goals.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs and established clinical standards.
  • Provide individual, group, and/or family counseling as appropriate to the program.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions and trauma-informed, person-centered approaches.
  • Monitor client progress and modify treatment interventions as clinically indicated.
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation.
  • Coordinate care with case managers, behavioral health professionals, medical providers, families, and community resources.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and collaborate on client care.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support when clinically necessary.
  • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
  • Assist clients in developing coping strategies, emotional regulation skills, relapse-prevention skills, and practical tools for successful community living.
  • Support continuity of care, referrals, and transition/discharge planning.
  • Comply with all applicable Ohio behavioral health regulations, organizational policies, and clinical standards.
  • Participate in supervision, training, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development.

Solero Behavioral Transitions is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and clinically skilled LSW or LPC Therapist to join our behavioral health team in Youngstown, Ohio. The therapist will provide high-quality, person-centered behavioral health services to individuals navigating mental health, substance use, and life-transition challenges.

The ideal candidate is passionate about helping clients build stability, develop healthy coping skills, and achieve meaningful personal and behavioral health goals. This position offers an opportunity to work collaboratively with clients, families, and a multidisciplinary team in a supportive and recovery-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to meet the requirements of the position, if applicable.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with adults with serious mental illness, substance use disorders, co-occurring disorders, or complex psychosocial needs.
  • Experience in community-based behavioral health, residential services, outpatient treatment, or transitional programs.
  • Training in trauma-informed care, CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, or other evidence-based modalities.
  • Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
