Outfield Healthcare Partners is seeking an experienced Activity Director to plan, organize, and implement a comprehensive recreation program for residents in long-term care. The role requires developing therapeutic activities aligned with each resident’s care plan and coordinating with care teams to support meaningful engagement.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy or related field, licensure or registration, and proven experience in resident activities programs.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy or related field required.
• Licensed or registered either nationally or by the state in which practicing is required.
• Two years of experience conducting social/recreational programs within the past five years, one of which was full-time in a resident activities program in a health care setting.

Responsabilidades

• Develops and implements comprehensive therapeutic recreation programs and services to meet psycho-social, physical, and cognitive needs.
• Performs assessment, selection, organization and implementation of recreational services to meet residents’ needs.
• Plans community activities that involve residents, staff, families, and the broader community.
• Completes required documentation including MDS sections, care plans, and activity evaluations within specified timelines.
• Coordinates a volunteer program and supports resident council meetings.
• Participates in department budgeting and ensures activities supplies stay within budget.
