Job summary

Epic Healthcare is hiring a Recreation Director to lead our activities program in a skilled nursing facility. You will plan and oversee engaging recreational activities that enhance residents’ social, emotional, and physical well-being.

The role requires prior recreation/activities director experience in long-term care, plus a Certified Activity Director certification or the ability to obtain one. You will supervise the activities team and collaborate with nursing to support quality of life.

Qualifications

• Experience as Recreation Director or Activities Director in long-term care.
• Certified Activity Director (or able to obtain certification per state requirements).
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Warm, patient, and resident-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee recreational programs promoting social, emotional, and physical well-being.
• Manage and supervise the activities team.
• Coordinate events, outings, and special programs tailored to resident interests and abilities.
• Maintain accurate documentation and resident participation records.
• Collaborate with nursing and other departments to support quality of life initiatives.
