Qualifications

• 3 years management experience preferably in an activities role.
• 2 years in social or recreational program within last 5 years in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops and directs activities department programs and events.
• Manages activities to serve ambulatory, non-ambulatory and bed-bound residents.
• Schedules staffing to meet departmental needs within census and budget.
• Maintains relationships with resident family members and responds to requests.
• Keeps detailed records of activity programs and individual progress.
• Collaborates with Interdisciplinary Team on activity needs.
• Assists with quality audits and corrective actions.
• Oversees sourcing, purchasing and inventory for activities.
• Leads and motivates staff with effective communication.
• Organizes, plans and delegates tasks efficiently.
