Job summary

Life Care Centers of America seeks an Activities Director (Recreation Therapist) to plan, organize, develop, and direct quality activities meeting the physical, intellectual, spiritual, and social needs of patients within the standards of Life Care and applicable laws.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in recreational therapy or related field and active licensure as a Recreational Therapist, with geriatrics experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in recreational therapy or related field.
• Active Recreational Therapist license in good standing throughout employment.
• Prior experience with geriatrics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, and evaluate quality activity programs (entertainment, exercise, relaxation, education).
• Make daily rounds to ensure activities team meets standards and patient needs are met.
• Chart patient progress and behavior in records.
• Escort patients to and from activities.
• Manage budget and resources for activity programs.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and families.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support patient well-being.
