Personal Healthcare Management LLC is seeking a Recreation Director to oversee the activities program across our facilities. You will supervise staff, plan diverse resident activities, and ensure care plans are implemented and evaluated.

The role requires leadership in recreational therapy, regulatory awareness, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to enhance quality of life for residents.

Qualifikationen

• Eligible for certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist or activities professional by a recognized body (post-1990).
• 2 years of experience in a social or recreational program in the past 5 years, with 1 year in therapeutic activities.
• Qualified occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant.
• State-approved training course completion where applicable.

Aufgaben

• Directs development, implementation, supervision and evaluation of the activities program.
• Ensures a wide variety of activities meet residents' needs per individualized care plans.
• Review and update department policies annually and implement changes as needed.
• Develop and implement policies for identifying medical-related activity needs.
• Participate in community planning related to facility services and resident needs.
• Discharge planning and development of activity care plans and assessments.
• Plan monthly activity calendars and staff schedules including evenings and weekends.
• Coordinate resident outings, special events, and staff programs.
• Maintain documentation (MDS, assessments, care plans) and track participation.
