Job summary

Marcus Theatres is seeking a dedicated Full Time Assistant Manager to drive theatre operations, lead with example, deliver exceptional guest service, and motivate staff in a fast-paced, safe environment while ensuring policy compliance and financial goals.

Located in Madison, WI, this role supports a 15-screen theatre and associated venues. The company offers growth opportunities, employee discounts, and a dynamic entertainment environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with supervisory experience in a high-volume theatre, cinema, retail, or hospitality setting.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; stand, walk, and occasional sit.

Responsibilities

• Train, coach, and develop associates while fostering a positive and service-driven environment.
• Manage inventory, order supplies, and monitor cleanliness, maintenance, and safety across all areas.
• Support a culture of cleanliness by following and reinforcing company standards and maintaining a welcoming environment.
• Operate and troubleshoot projection and sound equipment, as well as POS and theatre systems.
• Support hiring processes, orientation, and ongoing associate development.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, local laws, audit processes, and PCI regulations.
• Handle guest concerns with professionalism and drive service recovery; manage theatre communications.
• Analyze business trends to drive sales, optimize schedules, and support corporate initiatives.
