Job summary

Marcus Theatres Corporation in Fargo, ND, is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead operations, coach staff, and deliver exceptional guest service in a fast-paced theatre environment.

The role reports to the General Manager and splits time between West Acres Cinema and Century Cinema, with duties spanning front-of-house, concessions and cinema systems. This is a part-time position with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Supervisory experience in a high volume theatre, retail or hospitality environment.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Willing and motivated to learn new skills, tasks, and software systems to meet the changing demands of the industry.
• Flexible work schedule that includes late evenings, weekends and holidays as dictated by business needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and deliver superior guest service in a fast-paced, clean and safe environment.
• Supervise hourly theatre associates and schedule as needed; follow operating policies to meet company objectives.
• Assist with hiring, training and associate development.
• Operate projection equipment, projectors, servers and sound equipment; manage theatre systems.
• Maintain internal controls including inventory, cash handling, and daily reports.
• Address guest issues and ensure positive recovery; manage NPS comments and theatre inbox.
• Coordinate with the General Manager and work across multiple cinema locations.
• Balance daily cash drawers and payroll as required; ensure safety and PCI compliance.
