Job summary

Indiana University Bloomington's IU Cinema is seeking an Operations Manager to lead event services, house management, and rental programs for ~200 annual programs. You will supervise staff, coordinate schedules, and ensure smooth operations across the cinema’s activities.

Responsibilities include safety leadership, budget planning, ticketing coordination, and collaboration with campus partners to enhance guest experiences and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field is required.
• 2 years in business, conferences, events, customer service, or related field.
• Preferred: 4 years of progressive events management experience; 3 years of personnel supervision; 2 years of arts administrative leadership; 2 years of volunteer staff management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operational management of event services staff.
• Plan and execute house management for IU Cinema's ~200 programs per year.
• Supervise staff including House Manager and GA; manage volunteer program (~50–60 volunteers/year).
• Lead theater operations planning with weekly meetings and schedule changes.
• Develop and maintain operations policies, metrics, and annual budget recommendations.
