Job summary

Indiana University Dining and Hospitality seeks a motivated dining operations professional at IU Bloomington to assist with management, administration, and production for dining facilities. You will supervise staff, ensure meals are prepared safely, and oversee purchasing and the receiving process.

The role requires leadership, strong customer service, and the ability to coordinate menus and budgets with location managers. Flexibility in shift times is expected to support events and promotions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year of work experience in food services with demonstrated leadership skills.
• Food Safety (ServSafe) certification within 180 days from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists with management, administration, and/or production for IU Dining and Hospitality.
• Provides customer service, schedules, and supervises employees.
• Oversees purchasing, production, menus, and orders; directs attendants; oversees receiving process.
• Works with location managers on budget preparation, inventory control, and financial reports.
• Rotates promotions and assists with brand management; may act as general manager in absence.
