Job summary

Alsco Uniforms in Roanoke, VA seeks a Maintenance Worker to perform regular preventative maintenance on large industrial textile processing equipment and handle facility maintenance. The role reports to the Chief Engineer and assists the Maintenance Technician as required.

Responsibilities include monitoring oil levels, basic electrical troubleshooting, following safety rules, and collaborating with plant personnel to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalency preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to use power/hand tools.
• Ability to read and follow basic instructions.
• Good written and spoken English communication.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic maintenance on grease fittings, lint traps, and related equipment.
• Monitors oil levels and conducts preventative maintenance.
• Assists in problem resolution to minimize downtime.
• Follows safety rules and cooperates with plant personnel.
