Job summary

Alsco Uniforms is seeking a Maintenance Worker in the Alexandria, VA area to perform preventative maintenance on large industrial textile processing equipment and facility systems. You will assist the Maintenance Technician and Chief Engineer, report to the Chief Engineer, and help minimize downtime through proactive maintenance and safe, efficient work practices.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, a valid driver's license, and solid English communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Demonstrate adequate mechanical aptitude.
• Good verbal and written English communication skills.
• Must be a team player with initiative.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic maintenance duties on large industrial textile processing equipment and facility systems.
• Assist Maintenance Technician/Chief Engineer as required.
• Adhere to safety rules and procedures; follow written and verbal instructions.
• Drive and pick up parts, transport equipment as needed.
• Support other branch personnel as required by supervision.
