Job summary

SkyWater is partnering with a growing engineering firm to hire a Safety Manager who will oversee their Texas region from the Dallas–Fort Worth area. This role acts as the go-to safety leader for multiple offices, coaching field employees on safety procedures and partnering with senior leadership on strategic initiatives.

The role involves leading incident investigations, implementing corrective actions, and shaping how safety programs are applied across the Texas region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety or related field.
• 3-5 years of safety experience in construction/field settings.
• CSP or BCSP certification preferred (within 12 months).
• Ability to travel up to 60% across Texas.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary safety resource for offices and field teams across Texas.
• Coach field leaders on job planning, hazard identification, and preventing serious injuries.
• Help teams identify critical hazards and implement safeguards before work begins.
• Perform field observations and safety audits of offices, sites, and crews.
• Support incident and near-miss investigations, identifying root causes and fixes.
• Champion fleet safety, journey planning and vehicle safety expectations.
• Roll out company-wide safety initiatives across the Texas region and spot regional trends.
• Deliver field safety training and PPE assessments, tracking regional safety KPIs.
• Other duties as assigned.
