Job summary

Forward Air Corp. in Dallas, TX is seeking a Regional Workplace Safety Manager to lead safety programs across terminals, warehouses, and offices in the region. You will partner with operations leadership to reduce risk and ensure compliance with FMCSA, DOT, OSHA and local regulations.

This role requires incident investigations, training delivery, data analysis, and collaboration with HR and Risk Management. Travel throughout the region and a strong passion for safety are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: Undergraduate degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Risk Management, Transportation, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred.
• Certification/Licensure: CSP/ASP/CDS or similar safety credentials preferred.
• Experience: 5+ years in workplace safety across transportation, logistics, warehousing or manufacturing.
• Knowledge: OSHA requirements and regulatory compliance practices; FMCSA and DOT familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with FMCSA, DOT, OSHA and other regs across facilities and offices.
• Develop and improve regional safety programs, policies, procedures and best practices.
• Identify hazards with leadership to reduce risk and improve safety performance.
• Conduct inspections, safety audits, and incident reviews; implement corrective actions.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses; drive preventive actions.
• Deliver safety training to employees, drivers, and leaders.
