Job summary

Benchmark Education Company is seeking an Educational Sales Consultant for the Texas region. You will identify opportunities, manage key accounts, and drive core, supplemental, and professional development sales across print and digital resources.

You will use CRM to track opportunities, conduct product demonstrations, and respond to RFPs, while collaborating with editorial and marketing teams to align solutions with school needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, English or related required.
• Three to five years of sales experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent verbal, written and telephone communication skills.
• Highly organized and detail oriented with strong time management.
• Proven ability to set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and flexibility for long hours.

Responsibilities

• Achieve or surpass sales goals for the Texas territory within expense guidelines.
• Develop strategic plans to identify opportunities for supplemental, core, and PD sales.
• Manage the territory using CRM to track opportunities, contacts, and outcomes.
• Generate quotes and support proposals including reviewing RFPs.
• Demonstrate knowledge of print and digital products and present them effectively.
• Position products to win using competitive knowledge and trends.
• Provide forecasts and coordinate with management and staff.
• Communicate market trends and needs to management, editorial, and marketing.
• Prospect and meet with new and existing TX school customers.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Education, English or related

Three to five years of sales experience

Strong Word, Excel, PowerPoint skills

Excellent verbal, written and telephone communication skills

Highly organized and detail-oriented

Proven ability to set priorities and meet deadlines

Ability to work calmly under pressure with flexibility
