Benchmark Education Company is seeking an Educational Sales Consultant to develop strategic plans and win business with TX school customers. You will manage the territory with CRM, generate quotes, and present both print and digital products. A strong foundation in education publishing is valued.

You will collaborate with marketing and editorial teams, respond to customer needs, and participate in local and regional events to drive growth and visibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, English or related.
• Three to five years of sales experience in a fast-paced company.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Strong Word, Excel, PowerPoint skills.
• Excellent verbal, written and telephone communication skills.
• Professional orientation and demeanor; able to handle external requests timely.
• Proven ability to set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work long hours under pressure; knowledge of educational publishing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Achieve or surpass sales goals for territory within expense guidelines.
• Develop strategic plans to identify opportunities for supplemental, core, and PD sales and to win the business.
• Manage the territory by using CRM effectively to enter and track opportunities, contacts, wins, and losses.
• Generate quotes and provide support for proposals including reviewing and evaluating RFPs.
• Demonstrate knowledge of products, both print and digital, and present in various settings.
• Demonstrate competitive knowledge and use it to position products to win.
• Provide sales, sampling, and inventory forecasts as requested by managers.
• Be willing to embrace change and analyze trends impacting business.
• Seek out and leverage technology trends and communicate to management, editorial, and marketing.
• Demonstrate effective questioning and listening to identify customer issues and needs.
• Prospecting and meeting with new and existing TX school customers.
