Job summary

Liberty Mutual is seeking an attorney in Texas to handle exclusively Texas DTPA matters pre- and post-litigation. The role supports strategic oversight of specialty litigation involving claims under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act.

With at least five years in insurance defense, you will manage a focused caseload from assignment to resolution, including discovery, negotiations, hearings, and trials, while mentoring junior staff and aligning with legal strategy and cost discipline.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Texas Bar in good standing; ability to practice before relevant boards/federal courts.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of litigation for moderate to heavy value claims.
• Provide strategic litigation oversight and client advisory support.
• Develop and refine discovery, investigation, and trial preparation strategies.
• Utilize e-discovery and case management tools to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Mentor junior attorneys and legal staff; train cross-functional teams.
