Job summary

Roofing Talent America LTD in Houston seeks a Coatings Business Development Representative for Commercial Roofing to build and own a Texas coatings and reroof sales book.

Responsibilities include prospecting owners, facility managers, and GCs; running roof inspections; presenting value-based proposals; and partnering with leadership on scope and pricing.

This growth seat targets $1M–$2M+ annual sales, with uncapped commissions and a base, plus company vehicle, cell, and laptop.

Qualifications

• 2+ years selling coatings, service, maintenance, or reroof solutions in commercial roofing
• Track record of $1M–$2M+ in annual sales on a mixed coatings and reroof book
• Proven ability to defend and deliver gross margin through the sales process
• Working knowledge of coatings and low-slope systems — fluid-applied, SPF, TPO, PVC, EPDM
• Disciplined pipeline management, CRM usage, and monthly forecasting

Responsibilities

• Build and own a pipeline of coatings and reroof opportunities across Houston and the wider Texas market
• Prospect direct to owners, facility managers, property managers, and GCs — cold calls, site visits, referrals, networking, industry events
• Run your own roof inspections and site assessments, and turn what you find into scoped, priced proposals
• Present value-based proposals that hold margin instead of discounting it away
• Partner with the President on scope, pricing, and scheduling, and hand off cleanly to operations at award
• Keep the pipeline honest — weekly CRM updates and monthly forecasting at 80%+ accuracy
