Job summary

California State University, Fullerton is seeking an Assistant Director of Testing to oversee exam accommodations and proctoring for students with disabilities. You will lead a Testing team, coordinate scheduling and delivery of exams, and advise faculty on accessibility and Canvas timing for accommodations.

The role requires strong advising experience, knowledge of CSU policies (ADA, FERPA), and a commitment to inclusive practices. Regular hours are Mon-Fri with proctoring through the day.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus applicable counseling/interviewing coursework.
• At least four years of professional student services work experience including advising students individually and in groups.
• Master’s or Doctoral substitutions may reduce required experience as described.

Responsibilities

• Oversee administration of exam accommodations and proctoring for students with disabilities.
• Serve as primary contact for DSS students, staff, faculty, and campus partners.
• Lead Testing team and coordinate scheduling, proctoring, and exam delivery from 8:00 am–10:00 pm.
• Provide guidance to faculty on exam accessibility and Canvas timing settings.
• Advise students to resolve scheduling concerns and improve service quality.
• Maintain knowledge of CSU policies, ADA, FERPA, and related regulations.
