Job summary

Transylvania University is seeking a Testing Center Coordinator to manage testing operations and support services for students with disabilities in Lexington, KY. The role focuses on policy implementation, technology coordination, and seamless testing room management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • At least two years of administrative/education/teaching or coaching experience.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office; Google Suite experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service to students, faculty and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Provide, post and update policies related to testing center use.
  • Coordinate purchasing and implementation of assistive technology to support students with disabilities.
  • Schedule and oversee use of the testing room.
  • Maintain records of student usage and report data on usage, retention and success.
  • Communicate with faculty about temporary disability accommodations for students.
  • Oversee distribution of accommodation letters to faculty in coordination with IT.
  • Provide academic coaching to students in coordination with the Director of the Academic Center for Excellence with a focus on athletes and students with temporary disabilities.
  • Engage in ongoing education to stay abreast of developments in higher education disability services and learning support.
