Job summary

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in English, Composition and Rhetoric, Education, Literacy Studies, Higher Education, or related field.
  • Experience teaching or supporting students in writing and/or literacy development.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills; able to work with students, faculty and staff.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a student-centered environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the Writing Center, in-person and virtual.
  • Recruit, hire, supervise, train, and evaluate student tutors and graduate assistants.
  • Develop tutor training programs and professional development opportunities.
  • Collect, analyze, and report utilization data and learning outcomes.
  • Maintain and update resources, materials, website content, and promotional materials.
