Job summary

Essex County College in Newark, NJ, is seeking a Coordinator – Testing Center to oversee daily operations, testing administration, and reporting within the Testing Center.

Under supervision, the coordinator will supervise staff, ensure compliance with testing standards, maintain records in Banner, and coordinate testing services, accommodations, and off-campus testing as needed. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in teaching, training, counseling or testing.
• Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and security.
• Experience with web-based exams (Accuplacer, CLEP, TEAS).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day operations of the Testing Center.
• Administer and assess testing services and schedule center services.
• Maintain testing records and ensure data integrity in Banner.
• Ensure confidentiality and security of records.
• Train and supervise Testing Center staff and student workers.
