Responsibilities

• Assemble, test, and troubleshoot electromechanical assemblies per drawings and procedures.
• Interface with production leads and QA to ensure timely delivery.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Operate precision test tools and calibration equipment.
• Solder PCB assemblies and diagnose non-functional electronics.
• Identify and implement safety and efficiency improvements in the area.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Setup new production test areas, including layouts, tooling and equipment setup, etc.
• Assist with transition from development to production, including first articles.
• Manufacture, assemble, and test electromechanical assemblies according to engineering models, drawings, specifications and written procedures.
• Interface with production leads, supervisors, manager and QA inspection to ensure timely customer delivery.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct discrepancies by modification, rework, repair, and/or maintenance.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurrence control.
• Setup and operate precision calibrated tools including but limited to, Mensor gauges, oscilloscopes, function generators, multimeters, soldering gun, ESD tooling, power supplies, lab instruments etc.
• Solder PCB electrical assemblies.
• Diagnose non-functional electronics assemblies independently.
• Calibrate and test electromechanical assemblies per engineering procedure independently.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for area safety and efficiency.
• Perform routine maintenance functions such as daily clean-up of work areas to support 6S and Lean initiatives.
• Learn quickly from mistakes, absorb knowledge from mentors, take ownership, cross-train others and deliver results.
• Other duties as assigned or otherwise beneficial to achieving organizational success.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED.
• 3+ years direct experience in industrial manufacturing, integration, or another relevant field.
• Ability to work effectively with a strong work ethic and close attention to detail in a fast-paced dynamic team environment with rapidly changing roles and responsibilities.
• Ability to interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, and test procedures.
• Basic mathematics skills.
• Hand dexterity required to assemble small mechanical or electrical components.
• Basic computer skills such as Windows, Microsoft Office, etc.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to climb ladders/stairs and work in small restricted areas.
• Ability to lift heavy items up to 50 lbs. if needed.
• Work off-shift, extended hours overtime, and weekends if/when necessary.
