Job summary

Motion Recruitment partners with a global leader in energy management and automation to hire a Manufacturing Test Technician for an on-site role in Costa Mesa, CA. Training runs 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, Mon-Fri, then shifts to a second shift after training. This is a 12-month W2 contract with benefits and paid holidays.

You will maintain test fixtures, testers, and electrical equipment to keep production gear safe and available, and you will use basic electronic test equipment in daily duties.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree
• Ability to use basic electronic test and measurement equipment, such as DVM's, oscilloscopes, and to correctly interpret the results. The same goes for basic hand tools
• 1-3 Years of experience as a test technician
• Experience working with electric test equipment (DVMs/Oscilloscopes)

Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of the Manufacturing & Test Engineering Manager and collaborate with Test Engineers to perform maintenance and troubleshoot test fixture and equipment to ensure standards are met
• Help minimize equipment downtime, support testing standards, and ensure work is being completed in compliance with safety regulations
• Ensure test equipment is properly maintained and operational

Job description

Our client, a global leader in energy management and automation, is looking to hire a Manufacturing Test Technician. This is an on-site role that will be meeting 6AM-2:30PM M-F during training, and will shift to second shift after training ends! This role is a 12-month W2 contract opportunity with benefits & paid holidays!

This role supports manufacturing and test engineering operations by keeping test fixtures, testers, and electrical equipment safe and available for production. Experience with using and maintaining test equipment required.

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Required Skills & Experience

• Associates Degree
• Ability to use basic electronic test and measurement equipment, such as DVM's, oscilloscopes, and to correctly interpret the results. The same goes for basic hand tools
• 1-3 Years of experience as a test technician
• Experience working with electric test equipment (DVMs/Oscilloscopes)

Desired Skills & Experience

• Good computer skills, including familiarity with MS Word and Excel
• Prior experience with high voltage 480 volts testing highly valued!
