Source One Technical Solutions, LLC is seeking a Test Technician to lead and execute software release testing for an autonomous ride-hauling system in Las Vegas. You will prepare vehicles, collect test data, and document defects while ensuring readiness prior to deployment.
The role requires at least 2 years in complex testing, hands-on experience with TestRail/Jira, and strong communication. This onsite contract is 6–12 months with possible extension, paying $45 per hour (W2).
Source One is a consulting services company and we’re currently looking for the following individual to work as a consultant with our direct client, an on demand autonomous ride-hauling company in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Contract Duration: 6 - 12 months, with likely extension
Pay Rate: $45.00 per hour (w2)
The Test Technician is responsible for software release testing, vehicle and system readiness, test mission support, data collection, defect management, and test documentation. This role requires someone who is comfortable troubleshooting issues, documenting defects, analyzing test data, and working effectively in high pressure environments where priorities can change quickly.
Lead software release testing, execute complex test cases, and confirm software and vehicle readiness prior to deployment.
Prepare vehicles and systems for test missions by launching software across multiple devices, verifying software and hardware configurations, deploying software, capturing requested data, and escalating issues as needed.
Support vehicle operations, test missions, and data collection through a variety of in vehicle and operational responsibilities.
Analyze vehicle logs and test data using internal tools to trace failures, support root cause analysis, document findings, and communicate results to engineering teams.
Manage defects from identification through resolution, maintaining accurate test results, documentation, vehicle readiness records, and supporting metrics.
Develop targeted test cases for emergency and maintenance releases.
Execute testing and data collection while identifying opportunities to improve processes and tools based on observed operational and customer needs.
Support the transition of appropriate manual in vehicle test cases into simulation environments to improve testing efficiency and reduce execution time.
Provide accurate written and verbal feedback to engineering and operations teams.
Assist with paperwork and documentation related to vehicle readiness, testing, and mission support.
Maintain a safety first, inclusive, collaborative, and open communication environment.
At least 2 years of experience conducting complex software testing or vehicle testing.
Experience leading or supporting QA testing efforts for software releases.
Proven experience executing complex test cases, documenting results, and reporting defects using tools such as TestRail and Jira.
Basic QA testing experience.
Proficiency with Jira and Confluence or Azure DevOps.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
Proactive and resourceful approach to problem solving.
Ability to troubleshoot issues and resolve problems in high pressure situations.
Strong sense of urgency and a get it done approach.
Strong safety first mindset.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to code in Python or another programming language.
Scripting experience with a high level programming language such as Python.
Experience with communication buses such as CAN or Ethernet.
30 minute Manager Zoom interview.
1.5 hour panel interview.
On site participation is required for the panel interview.
