Job summary

Source One is seeking an engineering-focused Vehicle Technician to support an autonomous vehicle fleet in Las Vegas, NV. This on-site role involves vehicle setup, maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and fleet rework.

You will work with the Shop Foreman and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues from diagnosis through completion, ensure safety, and prepare quality field reports. Travel locally as needed and operate forklifts; a valid driver’s license and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs are

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of professional vehicle technician experience.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Current forklift operator certification compliant with applicable Cal/OSHA standards.
• Ability to pass background, MVR, and drug screening requirements.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, diagnose, repair, and sign off on vehicles for safe road use.
• Perform preventative maintenance, scheduled services, diagnostics, and fleet rework.
• Troubleshoot issues and elevate engineering-related problems when needed.

Source One is a consulting services company and we’re currently looking for the following individual to work as an on‑site consultant to our client, an autonomous vehicle company in Las Vegas, NV.

Available Shifts:

• 7:00 AM–3:30 PM: Mon–Fri, Tues–Sat, or Wed–Sun
• 3:00 PM–11:30 PM: Mon–Fri, Tues–Sat, or Wed–Sun
• 11:00 PM–7:30 AM: Mon–Fri, Tues–Sat, or Wed–Sun

About the Role:

Seeking engineering-focused Vehicle Technicians to support fleet readiness and workshop operations. You’ll be responsible for vehicle setup, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and fleet rework, ensuring vehicles are safe and ready for on‑road testing, demonstrations, and operations. You’ll work closely with the Shop Foreman and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and coordinate repairs from diagnosis through completion.

What We’re Looking For:

• 2–4 years of professional vehicle technician experience
• Strong knowledge of automotive maintenance, repair methods, tools, parts, and materials
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment
• Reliable, self‑motivated, and collaborative work style
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand or sit for extended periods
• Current forklift operator certification compliant with applicable Cal/OSHA standards
• Ability to pass background, MVR, and drug screening requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in an automotive engineering, testing, or research lab, including dyno or battery environments
• Knowledge of CAN systems, wiring diagrams, and soldering
• Experience towing car haulers or large trailers
• Technical trade school certificate or Associate Degree in automotive repair
• Willingness to travel locally and occasionally nationally
