Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a hands-on maintenance lead for cryogenic and high‑pressure gas systems, supervising technicians and engineers to keep the test stand reliable. You will drive a robust PM program, perform root‑cause analyses, and organize resources to meet safety, cost, and schedule goals.

Responsibilities include developing repair schedules, mentoring staff, and leading cross‑functional efforts to improve performance.

Qualifications

• BS degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong project management and team leadership.
• Experience with cryogenic systems maintenance.
• Experience with high pressure pneumatic systems maintenance.
• Experience leading a team of engineers and technicians.
• Experience developing people and helping them grow their careers.
• Outstanding technical and non-technical writing and verbal skills.
• Leadership in establishing a high performing safety culture.
• Willingness to work off-shift, extended hours, and weekends when necessary.
• Ability to earn trust and contribute to an inclusive culture.
• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team in safe cryogenic and high pressure gas system maintenance.
• Drive a data driven, planned preventive maintenance program.
• Perform root cause analysis and improvement projects.
• Develop repair schedules and asset recovery plans after downtime.
• Advocate for downtime to ensure high test stand reliability.
• Organize internal and external resources to meet cost, quality and schedule targets.
• Maintain employee training and development records.
• Lead labor and non-labor budget planning and execution.
• Prepare strategic plans and track progress with team capabilities.
• Develop the next generation of leaders within the team.
• Participate in root cause analyses and drive KPI-based improvements.
• Build datasets of team performance and success criteria.
