Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an engineer to own ground support equipment activation and system-level testing on the MK1 Lander program. You will lead a small technician team, develop test methods, and coordinate test campaigns across facility sub-systems.

The role emphasizes pneumatic/cryogenic test capabilities, safety, and data analysis to support verification tasks and informed decision-making in a spaceflight environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, chemical engineering or related field.
  • Experience with pressurized equipment and test procedures.
  • Ability to read P&ID schematics and interpret layouts.
  • Willingness to meet tight deadlines and be ambitious.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test procedures for facility sub-systems to meet program objectives.
  • Design, plan, fabricate, install, and operate pneumatic and cryogenic test capabilities.
  • Develop test methods to efficiently complete integrated system testing.
  • Maintain fluids test equipment configuration control, calibration, and traceability.
  • Write test procedures, manage redlines, and update during campaigns.
  • Oversee vendor design and fabrication of fluids test equipment and support gear.
  • Participate in gated design and Test Readiness Reviews.
  • Perform facility activation tests of fluids subsystems.
  • Maintain and operate pneumatic and cryogenic hardware and control software.
  • Follow safety policies during test planning and operations.
  • Troubleshoot anomalies in real time and archive data for verification.
