Blue Origin seeks a Senior Lead Ground System Fluid/Mechanical Engineer to lead the design of advanced ground test facilities. You will own detailed design packages, mentor engineers, and drive system architecture decisions across high-pressure, cryogenic, and propellant fluid systems.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, represent the technical direction with customers, and ensure readiness from SRR through PAR. A rewarding role in a mission-driven space company.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 8+ years in fluid/mechanical systems or test operations.
• Expert-level P&IDs, piping, and mechanical design ownership.
• Strong knowledge of ASME B31.3 and BPVC interpretations.
• Ability to lead complex projects and mentor engineers.

Aufgaben

• Design and develop fluid/mechanical ground test systems across all lifecycle stages.
• Own design/analysis packages: P&IDs, fluid analyses, pipe stress, structural calcs.
• Lead safety reviews (HAZOP/PHA) and ensure compliance.
• Chair design reviews and system readiness assessments.
• Manage supplier relationships and project budgets/schedules.
• Mentor engineers and act as primary technical contact with customers.
