Job summary

Blue Origin in Van Horn, TX, is seeking a hands-on maintenance leader to supervise technicians and test engineers responsible for cryogenic and high-pressure gas system upkeep on the test stand. You will champion a robust Preventive Maintenance program and drive improvements to maintain safety and reliability.

You will coordinate internal and external resources, manage budgets, and develop the next generation of leaders while ensuring documentation and training records are up to date.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong project management and team leadership.
• Experience with cryogenic systems maintenance.
• Experience with high-pressure pneumatic systems maintenance.
• Experience leading engineers and technicians.
• Proven ability to grow staff.
• Excellent writing and verbal skills.
• Leadership in safety culture.
• Willingness to work off-shift and weekends.
• Curiosity to optimize the business.
• Strong organization and analytical skills with track record.
• Ability to earn trust and foster inclusion.
• US citizenship or eligible status.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team in safe cryogenic and high-pressure gas system maintenance.
• Drive a data-driven preventive maintenance program.
• Perform root cause analysis and improvements.
• Develop repair schedules and asset recovery plans.
• Coordinate internal and external resources for cost, quality, schedule.
• Maintain employee training records.
• Lead labor and non-labor budget planning and execution.
• Prepare strategic plans and track progress against them.
• Develop the next generation of leaders within the team.
• Participate in root cause analysis and drive improvements.
• Build a data set of team performance and KPIs.
